Who we are

A studio built by players, for players

Founded in 2016 above a coffee roastery on Ontario Street, RogueRuneCitadel grew from a five-person indie collective into a full-service studio and lounge. Our team has shipped four titles on Steam and hosted over 200 community tournaments for the Toronto scene.

Our approach

Craft, community, and clean framerates

Every project starts with a playtest, not a pitch deck. Our lounge doubles as a live lab where we refine mechanics with real players every Thursday. Whether you are a solo dev or a 12-person squad, we treat your session with the same care as our own releases.

FAQ

Questions before you drop in

Still unsure about something? Give us a call at +1 (416) 364-4587 and our floor staff will sort you out.

Do I need to book ahead?+

Walk-ins are welcome whenever stations are free, but weekends fill fast. We recommend booking online or by phone at least a day ahead for groups of four or more. Tournament weekends should be reserved a week in advance.

What are your opening hours?+

The lounge runs Monday to Thursday from noon to 11pm, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 2am, and Sunday from noon to 10pm. Studio consultations are by appointment on weekday mornings.

Can you pitch and build my game idea?+

Absolutely. Most projects start with a free 45-minute scoping call, then a paid two-week prototype sprint. From there we can continue milestone by milestone, and you keep full ownership of your IP at every stage.

Is the space beginner friendly?+

Completely. Roughly half our regulars are casual players trying something new. Our staff will happily set up a game, explain the controls, and match you with players at your level so nobody feels out of place.
